Carnival Fun

It keeps going and going and going.....

Yup, you guessed it...the kitchen project is what keeps going and going and going. I would say about 80% of the work is done now so we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I honestly don't have any pictures of Evan to post because our free time has been going into getting things finished up. Evan and I are meeting a friend at a kid's carnival tomorrow and I plan bring the camera since he has been so neglected lately!! In other news, I think we've gone crazy....we are leaving EARLY Saturday morning and driving to Colorado, with a 2 year old. I'm hoping that being equipped with some "new" borrowed movies (thanks Anna and Andrew), a couple of new Toy Story 3 toys, and snacks we may be able to make it about 3 hours down the road before a meltdown! Ha! As you can see by the pics we have made some progress in the kitchen. Again, it's not done...but it's oh so close!!!

It's wonderful to have such a handy husband. Sean put these great roll out shelves in the pantry for me.

Weekend of work

Evan spent the weekend with my parents in Jamestown. They took him to the fair, a parade, and spent lots of time playing so Sean and I could be at home working. What were we working on ... well, we completely gutted the kitchen minus the flooring since we had just replaced that recently. We put in new cabinets, counter top, and eventually new tile back splash. We are no were near done, but we have a sink and a partial counter in so we will be able to use the kitchen this week while we finish up. It was a lot of work, probably more than I though it was going to be!! Here is a before and after picture, but keep in mind the after picture is not done yet!
