Lake

We spent a good portion of our weekend down at the lake. Saturday was cool and cloudy so it wasn't the ideal lake day, but we still had fun. Some thunderstorms rolled in during the night and then Sunday was a beautiful day!! Evan loved riding in the boat and fishing. We didn't catch anything, but we fished in shallow water so he saw fish and Sean caught a turtle and we looked at it up close. Evan was quite the happy camper!! We are enjoying the warm weather that is finally back. Evan loves to pick "flowers" when outside and Sean just hopes he doesn't make the "flowers" come to our yard!

Evan has always loved to monkey with Sean's power washer so when we saw this kid power washer we got it and planned on giving it to him on his birthday. We both completely forgot about it until this week so now that it has been 80 out Evan has been able to use it. He cleaned his toys and washed off the driveway. He thought it was great and only sprayed us a couple of times and thought it was hilarious!!

Sean's mom made me this cake for my birthday this past Sunday. It was so good!! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a nice and relaxing day which is probably the reason I'm now very behind on laundry!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mother's reading this. We finally had a nice day and were able to get some things done outside. We also had a nice sushi dinner with Sean's mom to celebrate the day. Yesterday we went down to Sean's aunt and uncle's lake cabin so Sean could help get the dock and boat lift in the water. It was a little chilly, but I shouldn't complain since I didn't have to get in the water!! I haven't taken many pictures recently so I looked through some I haven't posted and found these from a few weeks ago when the weather was so nice. I can't wait until it warms up again. It looks like more rain is coming this week so we will be indoors for a little while longer!

Silliness

I gave Evan a haircut this weekend and he was less than impressed with me. It's pretty short, but I think it will work especially for the summer. This was my trial run to see if it looked semi-decent. You can decide from the pictures! I have my work computer home, which is a Mac, and Evan and I had some fun tonight on a program called Photo Booth. It takes fun pictures...Evan was having so much fun with it. I posted the best ones we took. They are pretty silly looking! The first one is a good shot of Evan's new hair.
