Life has been pretty busy with the usual - work and Evan - so I've put the blog off this week. Not a lot to report other than that we will be off to warmer weather in not too long. We are going to Phoenix in a couple of weeks to visit family. Evan will be coming with so wish us luck. I need to start finding some "new" things to entertain on the airplane because I would really like to not be those people on the plane. Here are a few pictures of Evan from the week.

Time Out

Evan had to sit on a time out this afternoon for drawing on my shades with a red marker. I was in the kitchen starting to get dinner together and I thought he was playing in his room. I thought he was too quiet so I went to check and found him drawing. Luckily I caught him pretty early so there isn't a ton of marker spots. Plus, as you can see in the picture the shades have some stains already on the bottom so really I guess he picked a good spot to do it. It could have been worse! We went to Scheels last night to get out of the house and Evan had a great time playing on the indoor playground. This is the 4th time he has played on it and it's the first time he has finally figured out how to go down the slide. The playground is mainly up in the air so I'm not able to help show him where to go. Once he figured it out last night he was constantly going down the slide! Sean and I just rotated watching him so we could each look around. It worked out great!

Waterpark

We decided to get out of the house this evening and went to a water park for a couple of hours. Evan wasn't too sure right away, but once he figured out the slides and fun stuff he was a fan and didn't want to leave! I feel bad he has to wear the earplugs and headband, but it's a must with the tubes. We got many "sympathy" smiles when people saw the headband. I think he's pretty cute!

Uh oh.....

I've been terrible at taking pictures the last couple of weeks so this post won't have any pictures, but instead a quick story about our sweet little Evan (more like our almost 2 year old Evan as in the terrible two Evan). I put him in his crib tonight for bedtime and decided to change the batteries in his turtle night light because it was looking pretty weak. So I left Evan in his crib and left his bedroom door open to go change the batteries. While I was doing that Sean and I could hear him in his room and we both thought he was just jumping in bed again. Sean even made a comment of how loud he was being. Little did I know that when I returned to his room I would have a little Evan at the doorway to greet me. The look on his face was priceless as I'm sure the look on my face was too. I'm not sure how he did it, but he got out of his crib!! I'm hoping it was a fluke and won't become a pattern. We might be investing in a twin bed sooner than I thought!!
